The Grand Kenya Safari: 15 Days from Samburu to Diani Beach

This is the long version of a Kenya safari, for travelers who want to see the country properly rather than skim the surface. It runs from Samburu’s dry-country scenery in the north down through Ol Pejeta’s rhino sanctuary, Lake Nakuru, the Masai Mara, Lake Naivasha, Amboseli, and Tsavo — seven distinct parks and ecosystems, each given enough time to actually settle into rather than tick off.

After ten days on safari, the itinerary shifts pace entirely: a flight to the coast for four nights on Diani Beach, one of East Africa’s best stretches of white sand, to decompress before flying home. It’s a substantial trip, but built with enough variety — landscape, wildlife, culture, then coast — that fifteen days doesn’t feel like a slog.
