The trip, in short
A six-day circuit combining a Lake Naivasha boat safari, migration-season game drives in the Masai Mara, and rhino tracking at Lake Nakuru.
This route strings together three of the Rift Valley’s best stops with the Mara’s migration season as its centrepiece. It opens at Lake Naivasha, where a boat safari gets you close to hippo pods and fish eagles without a single game drive, then moves into two full days in the Masai Mara timed for the wildebeest and zebra crossings that define the migration.
The last leg drops south to Lake Nakuru, a compact rhino sanctuary and one of the more reliable spots in Kenya to see both black and white rhino in the same park, alongside its long-standing reputation for flamingos. The pace is unhurried by safari standards — each stop gets at least a full day of activities, so you’re not spending the trip in transit.

- Boat safari on Lake Naivasha among hippo and fish eagle
