The trip, in short
A three-day Masai Mara safari that replaces the road transfer with a scenic flight, maximising time on game drives.
The road transfer to the Masai Mara takes the better part of a day each way — this itinerary cuts that out entirely. A scheduled light aircraft flight from Nairobi’s Wilson Airport puts you on the ground in the Mara in around 45 minutes, with sweeping aerial views of the Rift Valley escarpment on the way in. That saved time goes straight back into game drives.
It’s a compact trip, but a well-used one — two full days of drives across the Mara Triangle and surrounding conservancies, led by guides who work the same stretch of plains year-round and know where the resident prides and river crossing points tend to be. For travelers short on time who still want proper time in the bush rather than time on the road, this is the version of the Mara that makes the most of three days.
