Lake Nakuru Day Tour from Nairobi

A single-day round trip from Nairobi to Lake Nakuru for rhino tracking, flamingo viewing and a picnic lunch.

Lake Nakuru is close enough to Nairobi to visit in a single long day, and compact enough that you can cover most of the park’s highlights without an overnight stay. The park is a designated rhino sanctuary, home to both black and white rhino, along with giraffe, buffalo and, seasonally, large flocks of flamingo along the shoreline.

It’s an early start — the drive out takes a few hours each way — but the payoff is a proper game drive through one of Kenya’s most reliable rhino-viewing parks and back in Nairobi the same evening. A good option for travelers with limited time who still want a real safari experience.
