Kilimanjaro Views & Diani Sands — 8-Day Amboseli, Tsavo & Beach Safari

An 8-day combo safari through Amboseli, Tsavo West and Tsavo East, finishing with three restful days on Diani Beach.

Amboseli’s postcard shot — elephant herds crossing open plains with Kilimanjaro’s snowcapped peak rising behind them — sets the tone for the first two days of this safari, with morning and evening game drives timed for the clearest mountain views. From there the route continues into Tsavo West, land of red-dust elephants and the Mzima Springs’ clear-water pools, then Tsavo East, Kenya’s largest national park and home to some of its biggest elephant herds and the widest, least-crowded plains in the south.

After four days of game drives, the safari trades dust for sand with a transfer to Diani Beach on the Indian Ocean coast — powder-white and backed by palm groves, consistently rated among East Africa’s best stretches of coastline. The final days are unstructured by design: swim, dive the reef, or simply do nothing at all. It is the pairing Kenya does better than almost anywhere else, wild plains game viewing followed immediately by proper beach time, with nothing lost in the transition.
