After a night in Nairobi, the safari heads straight into the Masai Mara for three full days of game drives across some of the most productive wildlife plains on the continent, before continuing to Lake Naivasha, where a boat ride past hippo pods and a walking safari among giraffe and zebra on Crescent Island give the group a rare chance to be on foot in Big Five country. A short stay in the Laikipia conservancies follows — a quieter, more exclusive corner of Kenya known for rhino conservation and community-run wildlife programs.

With the wildlife portion complete, the trip shifts gears entirely: a flight down to the coast for five days on the white sand of Mombasa’s beaches, where the days are built around nothing more urgent than the tide.
