The property
A well-established tented camp encircled by two streams and its own resident fish pond, run with its own fleet of safari vehicles and guides, and secured overnight by a 24-hour electric fence.
Sarova Mara Game Camp sits at a genuinely pretty spot in the reserve, ringed by two streams, mature trees and a fish pond that draws in herons and kingfishers most mornings. A Maasai village borders the camp directly, and the relationship between the two feels lived-in rather than staged — a cultural visit here has more substance than the quick photo-stop version found elsewhere.
Because the camp runs its own fleet of safari vehicles and guides, drives tend to be well-timed to sightings reported across the reserve’s radio network, and the free-form pool with its own bar gives guests somewhere proper to unwind between them. A 24-hour electric fence around the perimeter also means genuine wildlife — including the odd nighttime hyena patrol — stays audible rather than a walking hazard, which guests seem to appreciate as much as the camp’s setting.
